11. Repeat with the remaining squares (Fig. 11). Be absolutely meticulous with your folding, tapering sharply and precisely from the center!

12. At this point, you may find it helpful to use a small pointed object (such as a toothpick or the tip of a craft knife). Gently open one side of one of the kite-folds and squash it open (Fig. 12, point Y). Repeat with the other side (point X).

13. Continue to squash open all of the points, as shown in Fig. 13.

14. The resulting shape should resemble the kaleidoscope flower. You can leave the shape as is, or cut out the background portions as shown in Fig. 14.
